break’s over…

So THAT just happened.

I head back to China in the morning to resume the tour in Harbin, China. I am quite ready to get started — this break came as a bit of an unexpected surprise. We were originally slated to go back to China at the end of May, but due to additional show cancelations and the earthquake, our five-week break turned into nine. With the restart, comes a new schedule — Harbin, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanning (all in China), then to Macau, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan and Korea.

I spent my break in Minnesota and did a bit of traveling while I had the time. I visited Las Vegas with Emily and Rebecca (from the tour), went to Wisconsin Dells to help open Footloose, spent a couple nights backpacking with Shane on the Superior Hiking Trail in northern Minnesota and just got back from a five-night trip to New York where I saw a handful of shows with Emily and Rebecca. There was plenty of downtime, despite how it looks.

Wish me luck and leave me lots of comments… it’s always great to hear about what’s happening at home. I’ll be sure to write again once we’re settled in and the show has re-opened (the party’s going to be out of this world!) on July 2nd.
