i think they are talking about us… but i can’t be sure
So I stumbled upon the website of the Ningbo Grand Theatre, one of the theaters we’ll be playing while in China, via the link posted by Craig in a previous comment (thanks!). I’m pretty sure that the main page ad is for our show, but I can’t be sure.

albany, ny
So I’m in Albany, NY (or rather, Clifton Park, NY) doing pre-production work for my upcoming Asian tour of The Sound of Music. Some folks have asked how this tour came to be…Never underestimate the power of a cold resume. I e-mailed my resume to Troika Entertainment (among other Broadway tour producers) in the middle of December, looking for the next step in my career. I’m ready to start working on a big show with a big crew, playing multiple cities. I got an email response asking if I had any interest in touring China, I immediately replied yes, and the rest just fell into place. Now I’m sitting in a Holiday Inn, rental car in the lot (Chevy Cobalt — it feels like a little sports car) with my nights free (very, very free) while I work in the audio shop during the days. I’m assembling racks of amps, receivers, processors, wiring, etc., working on programming and setting up the sound board (see above) and generally reading as much as I can about the gear I’m working with.I’m realizing that I’m on the verge of entering two new worlds to me: China and the world of live touring theatre. I bought a book tonight for the former. The later should work itself out.
